Total Services Group has executed countless vermiculite ceiling removals across its many years in business.
Friable asbestos vermiculite ceiling coatings were widely used in the 1970s and 1980s as decorative ceiling coatings. However, the risks associated with having friable asbestos coatings in many residential homes were not fully understood at the time. Projects of this nature typically require a full enclosure from the ceiling to the floor, a four-stage shower decontamination process, and negative air pressure units to effectively control and remove the product safely. Residential works were the starting point for Total Asbestos Services and later Total Services Group, which has since safely removed hundreds of different asbestos materials from thousands of residential homes across South Australia since 1998.
