Total Services Group was engaged by Exact Mining to meticulously plan and execute the safe removal of all hazardous materials to a designated storage facility prior to the demolition of the structure at their operation in Leigh Creek Coal Mine.
Total Services Group visited the site and conducted the removal and disposal of all Super Six asbestos walls and roofing. They obtained clearance from independent asbestos assessors before demolishing the steel structure and safely removing the concrete foundation slab. This slab was then handed over clean, level, and covered with a layer of dolomite base.
All works were carried out in strict accordance with Safework SA and EPA regulations whilst also adhering to the site’s rigorous safety measures around working in a mining site.
