Total Services Group was contracted to carry out the erection of a full A Class enclosure to facilitate and undertake asbestos removal works in the Barr Smith Library.
The project necessitated meticulous planning and collaboration with the University to facilitate the seamless occupation of the remaining half of the Library, thereby ensuring that university students were not adversely affected by any restrictions. The project encompassed demolition strip-out works, during which ceiling grids, tiles, and carpets were removed prior to the removal of asbestos flooring and asbestos-containing dust. Ultimately, the TSG were able to address the friable asbestos embedded in the concrete slab above, enabling the commencement of refurbishment works with confidence and assurance.
Total Services Group’s team successfully completed the works in a seamless, professional manner, handing the site back clean and without project delays.
